EU-China dissemination workshop

On the 11^th October the EU-China dissemination workshop organized by SINTEF, Tsinghua University, and POLIMI in Cagliary, Italy, brought together partners working on the REALISE project in Europe, China and S. Korea.

The hybrid event hosted by SARAS included a visit to the SARAS' refinery where participants were able to learn about the company’s CCUS and energy transition projects.

In addition to discussing the latest results from the REALISE project, including preliminary results on integration options for a CO₂ capture plant in an industrial cluster and an online tool for assessing CO₂ capture options for refineries, invited speakers presented an overview of China’s CCS projects and Clean Energy Transition plans. The workshop provided a great opportunity to share knowledge, discuss the CCUS ecosystem and strategies to enable implementation.

Participants were also invited to join an open workshop on socio-political aspects of CCS on the 12^th October, organized by the Global CCS Institute.
