Technology Centre Mongstad
Technology Centre Mongstad (TCM) is the world’s largest test centre for developing CO2 capture technologies and a leading competence centre for carbon capture. Based at the Mongstad industrial complex, it is majority owned by the Norwegian state through Gassnova, its CCS enterprise, with Equinor, Shell and Total as industrial partners. TCM’s main objective is to test, verify and demonstrate different technologies related to cost-efficient and industrial scale CO2 capture. It also provides advisory services to carbon capture projects, such as REALISE. Its goal is to facilitate the advancement of carbon capture technology for mass deployment across industries. As such, it is an important part of Norway’s contribution to mitigating climate change.
