dCarbonX Limited is a GeoEnergy company which specialises in the development of subsurface storage assets that enable the Energy Transition.   The Company is partnering with ESB, Ireland’s leading energy generation utility, to develop large scale green hydrogen storage capacity offshore Ireland. dCarbonX is also working with Pentair, a global leader in carbon capture technology to develop CCS projects across the UK and Ireland.  In addition, the Company is also progressing a number of smaller scale “step-down” onshore subsurface hydrogen storage opportunities with potential global applications.  

In November 2021, dCarbonX announced it had entered into a Strategic Energy Transition Alliance with Snam S.p.A, Europe’s largest gas storage company, where Snam had taken an equity interest in dCarbonX and will fund its strategic work programme, with an initial project focus on green hydrogen storage & in Ireland & the UK.
