Equinor (formerly known as Statoil) is Norway’s largest oil and gas operator, a growing force in renewables and a world leader in CCS. It is the operator of both Technology Centre Mongstad, the world’s biggest CCS test centre, and of Northern Lights, the transport and storage element of Norway’s full-scale CCS project. Set to become operational by 2024, Northern Lights is an “open access” CO2 infrastructure providing European industry with the opportunity to ship and store CO2 on the Norwegian Continental Shelf
