Cybernetica

Cybernetica is an engineering and technology company that was spun out of SINTEF, NTNU and Statoil (now Equinor). It develops tailor-made model-based control systems that help to optimise industrial processes in real-time and lower costs.  It brings to the project its CENIT software platform, which is based on non-linear model predictive control systems. Already used in other industries, Cybernetica has been working with SINTEF and NTNU to develop CENIT for use in absorption-based CO2 capture processes since 2016. It has also been working with SINTEF on solvent-based post-combustion carbon capture as part of the ALIGN-CCUS project.
