TNO

TNO is the largest independent research, development and consultancy organisation in the Netherlands and the country’s leading research institute on CCUS, having worked in the field for two decades. It works across the chain from capture to transport and storage of CO₂, including a specialism in post-combustion capture technologies – it was the first European research institution to implement a post-combustion CO₂ capture pilot plant at a coal-fired power plant (Rotterdam, 2008). It has participated in and/or coordinated many EU CCUS research programmes, notably ALIGN-CCUS, HiPerCap, OCTAVIUS, iCap and ENOS.
