Tsinghua University is one of China’s leading centres for scientific research. CCS is one of the most important research areas within its Institute of Thermal Engineering where it has a pilot scale CO2 absorption plant. Its research focuses on chemical absorption, membrane contactor, oxycoal combustion and chemical looping. It collaborates widely including participating in the EU’s CAPRICE, iCap and NZEC projects.
